– The Sugar Knowledge Base Tool – 

The issue of Corporate memory is a key productivity concern. When business-rules and hard-won intelligence leaves the room along with a retiring staff member, the business has both a risk and a gap. From a continuity point of view, Sugar has a number of flexible tools to ensure business processes are captured.

In this first of a three-part series, we’ll be looking at Sugar’s Knowledge Base.

The Knowledge Base is a standard component of Sugar and enables your organsiation to record and organize documents or articles in an easily accessible method for your users, or users connecting via your Sugar Portal.

Sugar Knowledge Base Articles
Knowledge Base articles can be organized into user-friendly tree-structures, may be up or down-voted based on perceived usefulness, contain attachments and version controlled. They are designed in effect, to allow for a complete online repository of guides, rules and how-tos – or anything else your organization deems worth formalizing.

It is something you have now. All you have to do is choose to use it.
